Show off your creativity in designing a bookmark for our 47th Annual Bookmark Contest! Join us in an afternoon of coloring using art supplies, such as crayons, colored pencils, markers, and more! For ages 5 – 12.

From September 1 to October 17, aspiring artists in grades K-12 can submit an original bookmark design inspired by reading, books, libraries, or your own imagination.

Participate in these grade categories: K-2 | 3-5 | 6-8 | 9-12. Entries are due October 17, 2026. Return your design to any LA County Library Location or submit your design online at LACountyLibrary.org/Bookmark-Contest or mail.

About the branch

Claremont Library was founded in 1914. It has been at its current location since 1928. The present building opened on April 25, 1975. The Friends of the Claremont Public Library was founded in 1957.
