Join South Bay Parkland Conservancy for an educational seminar about native plants, pollinators, and how everyone can create connecting habitats to improve our ecosystem. This program will be held in the East Room of the Library. For adults.

Curious about a specific plant? Learn which are the best plants to use! This is a program for the entire family. There will be plant samples to touch and smell, seed packets to keep, pages to color, origami butterflies, books on plants and pollinators and live native plants.

The South Bay Parkland Conservancy is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration, preservation and public use of coastal land resources in the South Bay Region.

About the branch

The library was founded in 1913 and moved to its present location in 1962. The facility was remodeled in 1978. The Friends of the Hawthorne Libraries started in 1979. The library serves a 5.99 square mile area.
