Join us as we have a conversation with professional film editors Pi Ware and Luyen Vu

Pi Ware is an Emmy-winning editor and director who works across genres—from scripted features to documentaries to concerts & competitions. His films have appeared at Sundance and 75 other film festivals. He has edited content for every major network in the U.S. and is a member of American Cinema Editors (ACE). The most recent film Pi directed is Skin Deep: The Battle Over Morgellons. Other CV highlights include America's Got Talent, Fastest Car, American Idol, and Dave Chappelle: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for which he received a 2020 Emmy nomination.

Luyen “Lu” Vu is an American film editor.  He began his love of film while studying philosophy as an undergraduate at UCLA, subsequently attending the prestigious USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate program.  He started his career out as an Assistant Editor on Emmy nominated shows such as Arrested Development and Heroes, but quickly was promoted to Editor on the acclaimed JJ Abrams’ series Fringe. Lu believes in giving back to the editing community having served on the executive committee of the Academy of Television, as well as the Asian-American steering committee for the Editor’s Guild.  He is also an active member of ACE.
