Learn about the food groups (fruit, vegetables, grains, protein, dairy). CrEATive Plate shows how to make Chicken Cups & Apple Pie Cups; you’ll need the ingredients and tools listed below.. Knife safety/skills will also be taught, with a focus on bear claws, holding properly, and going back and forth with a knife. For ages 5 – 12 with parent or caregiver. This is a virtual event hosted on Zoom.

 

Ingredients:

Cooked chicken (1 breast/thigh/ drumstick)
Corn, beans or 2 vegetables of choice
Small tortillas or wonton wrappers
Cheese
Salsa/pico de gallo (optional)
1 apple
Cinnamon
Sugar (brown or white),

Tools:

Muffin tin to place tortillas/wontons in the oven
Cutting board or paper plate
Kid-friendly knife
Paper towels
