Come and join us for our children's book club and share your thoughts on the book "The Doughnut Fix" by Jessie Janowitz. For ages 9 – 12 with parent or caregiver

Copies of The Doughnut Fix can be picked up in person at the Sunkist Library. They can also be ordered through our online catalog here.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees. 

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

The original Sunkist-La Puente Library was dedicated and opened on Monday, March 28, 1960 to become the second library in the City of La Puente. This storefront library was located at 13913 Elliot Avenue in the Sunkist Shopping Center. The library was dedicated by Supervisor Frank Bonelli. The library remained in that location for 18 years.

Friday, February 10, 1978, was the dedication date of the newly built Sunkist Library, located at 840 N. Puente Avenue, just one block from its old location. Present at the opening were the County Librarian Carol Moss and Supervisor Pete Schabarum.
