The LA County Library website will undergo scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, December 2 from 7 am to 9 am. During this window there may be a brief period of downtime.
The library was raided last night, and the thieves hid back-to-school supplies in this locked pencil pouch. Use the clues to rescue the goods. Come join the fun at the library and see if you can unlock the pencil pouch. For ages 13 - 17.
Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.
This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Walnut Library was founded in March 1916 in the original Walnut Elementary School. It was maintained there until 1964 when bookmobile service was initiated to better serve the area.
When the Walnut population increased, a 3,250 square foot rental storefront at 134 N. Pierre Street was opened in 1970. The library has been at the present location since February 13, 1985.
