Learn about César Chávez's legacy as a civil rights advocate and farm labor leader who championed nonviolent social change and environmental rights. Then create a poster that celebrates a person you admire. For ages 5 – 12 with parent or caregiver.
Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.
This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Library service in Stevenson Ranch began in July 2011 with the opening of Stevenson Ranch Express Library. In March, 2015, a new Stevenson Ranch Library opened to provide a full service library to the West Ranch communities. Library service in the Santa Clarita Valley area began in 1916 with the establishment of the original Newhall Library. The Stevenson Ranch Library pays tribute to a century of service with a local history collection and the original editorial cartoons of the Randy Wicks Collection.
