Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.
This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. The library, as part of the new South El Monte Civic Center complex, was built in 1966. Present at the dedication ceremony were County Supervisor Frank G. Bonelli and County Librarian William Geller.
The facility, under a 20-year lease from the City of South El Monte, was purchased by the County of Los Angeles in June 1986. In early 1996, the city generously financed a complete renovation of the library.
