Celebrate Teens Create Month by using your creativity and imagination to design a masterpiece out of modeling clay. Learn about library resources you can use to discover the history of clay and its many uses. For ages 13 – 17.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

In 1958, two branches (Moneta, opened in 1913 and Strawberry Park opened in 1919) merged into West Gardena Library. A fire in 1969 caused the branch to move into a new building.

The new building located at 14433 S. Crenshaw, was dedicated on February 26, 1977, in honor of Mr. Masao William Satow. Mr. Satow (1908-1976) was a Japanese-American of monumental distinction. He helped in the shaping of the lives of young adults in the community.
