Laugh, sing, and dance to an amazing assortment of performing characters and music genres with "The Party Puppet Show". For children and their caregivers, ages 2 – 5.

Preschoolers are welcome to join us for "The Party Puppet Show;" a lively variety show that uses puppets, comedy, and music to inspire children’s imaginations and creativity. Laugh, sing, and dance to an amazing assortment of performing characters and music genres.


For children and their caregivers, ages 2 – 5.

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

On February 22, 1973, the City of Lakewood, in cooperation with the County of Los Angeles Public Library, opened the George Nye, Jr. Library.

The library is named for Lakewood Mayor George H. Nye, Jr. who died while serving in office in May 1971.

The library is the second in the city and serves the population of the eastern area of the city which includes eight elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school.

An active Friends of the Library group was formed in 1972 and supports both Lakewood libraries - George Nye, Jr. and Angelo M. Iacoboni.
