Glass fusing is an early art form which dates back to ancient Egypt and Rome. Have your own hands-on glass art experience by making a colorful suncatcher! For adults.

Visiting artist, Ana Parkinson, will help you create a fused glass collage by arranging and layering small bits of colored glass using tweezers and glue. The collages will be then brought back to her glass studio and your finished suncatchers will be ready for you to pick up a couple of weeks later at the library.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

Las Virgenes Library was founded in 1916 and was located for a brief period, at the Las Virgenes Grammar School. The library then moved to Liberty School which was one of four schools in the area. Shortly after 1920, the school and the library moved to Chesebro Road. The library was managed during that time by Mrs. Wright. Later, the library moved to the Cornell School.

The library moved again on December 8, 1970 into a 7,500 square foot storefront facility located on 29130 Roadside Drive.

On October, 27, 2001 the library became the "Agoura Hills" Library moving to a brand new 17,772 square foot facility at 29901 Ladyface Court. The library is part of the City Hall Civic Center.
