Join us in 2023 for a new book club with no assigned reading! For ages 18 and up.

Bring your own book or check out one from the library and we'll provide the snacks, lemonade, and iced tea as the evenings get warmer. At the end of book club, you're invited to stay for an optional discussion of what you read.

Drop in anytime between 5 and 7 pm for silent reading. We'll have a break from 6 - 6:15 pm to stretch and discuss our reads. Our concluding discussion will run from 7 - 7:30 pm.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

Las Virgenes Library was founded in 1916 and was located for a brief period, at the Las Virgenes Grammar School. The library then moved to Liberty School which was one of four schools in the area. Shortly after 1920, the school and the library moved to Chesebro Road. The library was managed during that time by Mrs. Wright. Later, the library moved to the Cornell School.

The library moved again on December 8, 1970 into a 7,500 square foot storefront facility located on 29130 Roadside Drive.

On October, 27, 2001 the library became the "Agoura Hills" Library moving to a brand new 17,772 square foot facility at 29901 Ladyface Court. The library is part of the City Hall Civic Center.
