The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning from Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16. While all LA County Libraries offer a break from the heat during normal hours, many locations have been activated as Cooling Centers with extended hours.
Join us to learn about César Chávez's legacy as a civil rights advocate and farm labor leader. We're creating a mural of quotes said by César Chávez that we hope will inspire you. All art materials will be provided.
For ages 13 - 17 with parent or caregiver.
This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

La Puente Library began its long career in a local schoolhouse in September 1913. It resided in a school, a bank, and the Puente Mercantile Building until 1930.
The library then moved to larger quarters several times over the next 38 years until it reached its present location in the La Puente Civic Center in November 1968.
