Acclaimed author Peter Bacho discusses his latest work, Uncle Rico’s Encore. A series of mini-memoirs about Seattle’s blue collar Filipino-American community from the 1950s – 1970s, the book is a tribute to the city and people Bacho holds dear.

Peter Bacho is the author of seven books including Cebu, Dark Blue Suit, and Boxing in Black and White. His writing has received several awards, including the American Book Award. He is an adjunct professor at Evergreen State College Tacoma Campus. Bacho was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in Seattle’s Central District.
