Let’s get ready for school! Enjoy books, songs, rhymes, and movement while learning school readiness skills and having fun. For ages 2 - 5 with their parent or caregiver.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

The Library founded in 1940 serves the View Park-Windsor Hills residents of the unincorporated area west of the City of Los Angeles north of the City of Inglewood and southeast of the City of Culver City.

Library service was provided through a leased facility of 2,300 square feet, located at 5400 S. Harcourt Avenue at 54th Street. The library moved to its present location in 1977 and offers a full range of library services.

Come make a colorful sun catcher while you learn some of the science and history of glass fusing. Your finished sun catcher will be ready for you at the library, 2 weeks after the program. For ages 8 - 17 and their families.

Learn about backyard and worm composting, water conservation, grasscycling, and edible gardening. Compost bins will be available to purchase at a discount following the presentation.
