In these one-hour programs for adults of all abilities, taught by artist Claudia Hindu, students will learn art techniques. They will learn how to mix colors and complete their own paintings.

Students will work with watercolors on June 6th and acrylics on June 20th. For adults of all abilities ages 18 and up.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required for each date. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.  

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

Bell Gardens Library first opened in August, 1938 at 5656 Live Oak St. As the City of Bell Gardens grew and expanded, so did the library.

On September 22, 1958 the library moved to 7515 Eastern Ave. (a store front location).

The library moved to its current location, 7110 S. Garfield Avenue, on May 7th, 1970. On July 21, 2007 the library had a Grand Re-Opening ceremony to celebrate a 6-month major refurbishment project.
