Learn about the superstar singer Taylor Swift with a special interactive reading of Taylor Swift: A Little Golden Book Biography. Join us for a conversation about how Swift has enchanted her fans with poetic lyrics and strong storytelling. Ages 12-17

We will discuss about how Swift has followed the footsteps of other female artists in spreading female empowerment and combatting double standards in interviews and her music. After we “Shake It Off” to one of Swift’s songs, we will make the friendship bracelets, take the moment, and taste it.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. The library moved to its current location, 7110 S. Garfield Avenue, on May 7th, 1970. On July 21, 2007 the library had a Grand Re-Opening ceremony to celebrate a 6-month major refurbishment project.
