Teen Culture Club at the Chicano Resource Center: Huichol Yarn Painting

In-Person Program

This month, we'll explore Huichol cultural art. An indigenous group living in the sierra of Jalisco and Nayarit Mexico, the Huichol are well known for their Nierikas or yarn paintings. We'll create our own yarn painting in the Huichol style.

The Teen Culture Club at the Chicano Resource Center in East Los Angeles Library meets monthly and is a welcoming space for teens to learn and share about cultures. Meet and collaborate with other teens, with the opportunity to earn volunteer hours and an extracurricular!

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees. 

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.
