In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, make your own Mesoamerican inspired mask as you learn about the significance of these works of art to the ancient cultures of Mexico and Central America. Available while supplies last.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

This event is held in-person. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

The library was built by the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors in 1976 to serve the Marina clientele. The William R. Pagen Nautical Wing and the Greg and Mimi Wenger Community Room were added in 1999 through the efforts of the Marina Foundation, the Board of Supervisors and the County of Los Angeles Public Library.

The Marina del Rey Library was renamed the Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library by the Board of Supervisors in recognition of the main donor to the project. Since the Marina is a small craft harbor used for recreational purposes, the Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library has developed a Nautical Collection to serve the informational needs and interests of small boaters.
