As we begin another school year, we are taking a new spin on the vision board idea with a vision box.

Typically, a vision board is poster-sized, containing all kinds of images and text that represent something you're trying to accomplish. We will be doing the same but using a pencil box and if possible, attempt to write and draw what we want to accomplish. Putting your goals on a visual format can help you achieve them, but you will also need a strategy to help accomplish them, such as setting SMART goals.

Teens ages 13 – 17.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

Graham Library was established in April 1915. The library was first located in a school and then moved into a store building two years later. In 1928, the library was moved to a building located on Glendale and New Hampshire (now Holmes and 85th Street).

In 1938, the Graham Library moved to new quarters at the corner of Boston (now 87th Street) and Fir and continued there until 1969, when the present library was built on Firestone Boulevard. The Library was refurbished beginning May 2000 and reopened November 2001.

Graham Library was rededicated on November 8, 2001 after a $623,000 renovation. Colorful murals by Bolivian artist, Mario Cespedes, lend a festive air to the building. The library is the community center for the local neighborhood.
