Five years ago, Geeta lost her no-good husband. As in, she actually lost him--he walked out and she has no idea where he is. But in her remote village in India, rumor has it that Geeta killed him. And it's a rumor that just won't die. For adults.

Freedom must look good on Geeta, because now other women are asking for her "expertise," making her an unwitting consultant for husband disposal. And not all of them are asking nicely.

Join us as we romp through Parini Shroff's 'The Bandit Queens'. Copies are available at the Customer Service desk and newcomers are always welcome!

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request.

About the branch

The Quartz Hill Library is located in the unincorporated town of Quartz Hill, adjacent to the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster, and was founded on July 24, 1959. The then 3,530 sq. ft. library was originally located at 42018 N. 50th St. in a building formerly housed by three adjoining, family run stores.

With funding generously provided by County of Los Angeles Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, a new state-of-the-art 12,514 sq. ft. library opened at it's current location of 5040 West Avenue M-2 on November 19, 2016. The new Quartz Hill Library features a community meeting room, two group study rooms, and an expansive Children's area.
