Join us for a poetry workshop with former West Hollywood City Poet Laureate Kim Dower. For adults.

Former West Hollywood City Poet Laureate (2016-2018) Kim Dower offers an intimate writing experience filled with fever writing exercises using prompts, poems, and memories to inspire and jump start poets at all levels. Come awaken your inner poet senses and leave with the tools and creative excitement to continue writing! Sponsored by the Friends of the West Hollywood Library.

This is the first of a four-program series that will be held on January 6, 13, 20, and 27. Each program date has its own event page. Please register individually for all of the dates you would like to attend.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. This will be used to save your spot in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status. Masks will continue to be available for customers upon request. Please see the Guidelines for Attendees during the registration process for more information.

About the branch

West Hollywood Library began service to the area (then unincorporated ) in 1913. The library was previously located at Sherman School, a cottage on Clark Street, a building on Westbourne Drive, and a building near the present site. The Library has an active Friends of the Library group.

The new library was dedicated October 1, 2011.
