From ancient times, basket weaving has been an important part Mexico’s culture. This month the Teen Culture Club will explore the importance of this artform as we weave our own baskets out of paper. For ages 13 – 17.

The Teen Culture Club at the Chicano Resource Center in East Los Angeles Library meets monthly and is a welcoming space for teens to learn and share about cultures. Meet and collaborate with other teens, with the opportunity to earn volunteer hours and an extracurricular!

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

The Chicano Resource Center (CRC) was established in 1976 to serve the information needs of the Mexican-American (Chicano) community and to make information about the history and culture of this group available to the general public. The Chicano Resource Center is located in East Los Angeles Library.
