Are you a teen interested in making a difference in your library and community? Join the Teen Advisory Board! This month, learn basic weaving techniques as you create your own bookmark. For Ages 13 - 17

You will have the opportunity to voice your opinion and provide suggestions for new programs and services, while working with teens that share your interests in the library, and helping the community. You can even earn community service hours while you have fun. New participants are always welcome--bring a friend!

Learn basic weaving techniques as you create your own bookmark. Explore how different cultures around the world use unique weaving styles and patterns to represent their identity and history.

About the branch

The library was established in February of 1969 in honor of Congressman Chet Holifield, 19th District (served 1943-1974). The library primarily serves the residents of south Montebello. In January 2011, the library reopened after a year-long refurbishment project.
