Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

The library was founded in 1913 and moved to its present location in 1962. The facility was remodeled in 1978. The Friends of the Hawthorne Libraries started in 1979. The library serves a 5.99 square mile area.

Join us in celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a Japanese puppet workshop. Learn the history of Japanese shadow puppets then make your own puppets to take home. For ages 5 - 12 with a caregiver.

Join us to learn about raising confident, competent children and explore strategies to try at home with your family. This seminar will be led by an accredited Triple P Positive Parenting Program librarian. For parents and caregivers of age 3 - 12.

Wed, May 28, 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Join Drones4teens as they give a demonstration of how drones operate and fly. As time permits, you may also be able to fly a drone. Advance registration is required. Please register every teen in your party. For teens ages 12 - 18.
