Read and Create is a hands-on storytime adventure. Join us as we read a captivating book together and then dive into a hands-on activity related to the book's theme or characters. For ages 5-12 with a parent or caregiver.

May's Read and Create will celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. We'll read Meenal Patel's Priya Dreams of Marigolds & Masala and discuss the importance of marigolds across different cultures and make our own paper, tissue paper, or finger painted marigolds.

About the branch

Rivera library was founded in 1913 and has been at its present location since 1970. The library is located in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood, with heavy usage by children. Rivera is the smaller of the two libraries in the city of Pico Rivera.
