Learn Basic Tech: Intermediate Curriculum is divided into two parts (Part 1: Wed, April 1, 2 - 6 pm; Part 2: Fri, April 3, 2 - 6 pm). Participants are permitted to attend one or both days. To receive a certificate of completion, participants must attend both days.
Part 1
- Introduction to A.I.: Discover how intelligent systems learn, reason, and make decisions, and how they’re shaping the world around us—especially for beginners.
- A.I. vs. Real: Learn how to tell the difference between A.I.-generated content and real human-made content by understanding how artificial intelligence works and where its limitations are.
- Advanced Smartphone: Explore how to efficiently use advanced features, settings, and apps to get the most out of their smartphone.
Part 2
- Smartphone Accessibility Features: Discover how to use built-in smartphone features and tools to make devices easier to use for people with different abilities.
- Google Photos: Learn how to back up, organize, edit, and share photos and videos using Google Photos.
- Google Maps: Discover how Google Maps helps you explore places, navigate routes, and find what’s around you in real time.
Learn Basic Tech (LBT) is dedicated to bridging the digital divide in Los Angeles County. As part of LA County’s Delete the Divide initiative, LBT provides free resources and courses to help individuals develop essential digital skills.
