McFarland, USA is an inspiring sports drama that follows a determined coach who discovers and guides a group of hardworking Latino students in a small California town to become a competitive cross-country team while overcoming personal, cultural, and social challenges. The screening will be
followed by a short discussion. This program is part of LA County Library's collection of immigration and citizenship programs and services.

About the branch

The library, originally founded in 1929 as the Stephenson Library, moved into its present location in 1972 and was rededicated as El Camino Real Library in 1975. The library was rededicated again in November 2014 after a renovation and expansion that added a meeting room, teen area, and outdoor reading patio. The library is located on the historic El Camino Real.
