In honor of Native American Heritage month, join us for a book discussion of Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. For Adults

As a botanist, Robin Wall Kimmerer has been trained to ask questions of nature with the tools of science. As a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she embraces the notion that plants and animals are our oldest teachers. In Braiding Sweetgrass, Kimmerer brings these two lenses of knowledge together to take us on "a journey that is every bit as mythic as it is scientific, as sacred as it is historical, as clever as it is wise."

Copies of the book are available at the library for checkout.

About the branch

Lynwood Library has a fresh new look thanks to the incredible support of Supervisor Janice Hahn of LA County's 4th District. To commemorate the reopening of our beloved library, we're inviting you to join us for a special ribbon cutting with Supervisor Hahn. Stop by to see Lynwood Library's upgrades, participate in an activity, enjoy refreshments, and borrow a few books. We're thrilled to welcome customers back to Lynwood Library and we hope to see you on September 3!
