Learning how to mend your clothes is a useful skill and it’s a lot of fun! This virtual workshop will include diverse methods of darning as well as visible mending traditions and how they are being used today. Optional supplies: Needles (sewing and embroidery), thread or floss, fabric scraps, and articles of clothing to repair.
This project was supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
This is a virtual event hosted on Zoom.
