Come experience the story of one of the most important women in Mexican history, illuminated through music and words by Dr. Gloria Arjona with musician Javier Arjona.

Identified by many as “The Mexican Pocahantas,” La Malinche was the interpreter and concubine of Spanish conquistador, Hernán Cortés. Because of this, she is often considered by Mexicans to be a traitor to her indigenous people. However, there is so much more to her story! Join Dr. Gloria Arjona as she highlights the complexities of La Malinche’s life through words and traditional songs sung in Spanish and Indigenous languages.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is suggested. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.
 
This event is held in-person. LA County Public Health strongly encourages masks and physical distancing indoors regardless of vaccination status.
